Accountability for Content

As service providers, we are liable for own contents of these websites according to Paragraph 7, Sect. 1 German Telemedia Act (TMG). However, according to Paragraphs 8 to 10 German Telemedia Act (TMG), service providers are not obligated to permanently monitor submitted or stored information or to search for evidences that indicate illegal activities. Legal obligations to removing information or to blocking the use of information remain unchallenged. In this case, liability is only possible at the time of knowledge about a specific violation of law. Illegal contents will be removed immediately at the time we get knowledge of them.

Personal stiki·fyi account

You can register as a user of the site. This allows you to create/edit/delete your own content, which is publicly available at any time — until your account is deleted. The own contents will be ignored by search engine crawlers as far as possible. The data provided during registration — except the username — is treated separately and cannot be related to the data created on our site. The username is part of the URLs of your content.

Private Data

In case certain contents are explicitly marked or labelled as private, they can only be viewed by the respective owner of the data. This labelling also affects the feature of real-time updates. If contents of private notes change, they are no longer propagated to other devices. This ensures that no other visitors get information about private notes, even if they are hidden in the user interface for unauthorised parties anyway. If a visitor has already opened/loaded your space and you restrict the visibility of a previously publicly accessible document, this will at least be hidden for this visitor.

Sponsorship Cancel Policy

If you decide to cancel a subscription, this happens immediately. This means that all access to any features will be restricted instantly and no money will be refunded for any remaining time. If you will have made use of the unlimited number of notes, custom slugs or private notes, this will still remain. However, changing the slugs or the visibility is no longer possible.

There is no need to end the subscription earlier than necessary, though. We will inform you by e-mail seven days before the currently paid period expires. Thus, you have enough time to think about whether you want to continue or stop the subscription.

Trial

The trial is only available once per user. This means that as soon as a subscription ends — regardless of whether the subscription has already been paid or not — one loses the privilege of a trial with this account.

Scholarship

For each purchase of a one-year subscription, a scholarship is sponsored to proven active students. To receive a scholarship, a student must register on the website and apply via the profile page. It is 'first-come-first-serve' so that no specific students can be recommended. This scholarship grants access to all paid features. However, a scholarship does not entitle the scholar to sponsor a scholarship to another student. This scholarship is limited to one year, so one must either apply for another scholarship or automatically switch to the paid version. Scholars can apply for a new scholarship at the earliest three months before the end of the current scholarship.
